Evicted in Lakeview

This is a picture from 12:20PM. See the lamp & red couch? They were gone by 1:55PM. Maybe the people on the cell phones rented Uhauls. Posted by Hello

"Hello, I'm a jerk. I think I'll be an asshole and profit from someone's misfortune. Hmm, I think I'll use the glow from this stolen lamp to read the Bible." Posted by Hello

The anti-Christo

CLick on me: the link
These gates were unveiled in a ceremony that was not attended by Joseph Curtatone,
Mayor of Somerville, Massachusetts, on February 14, 2005.

To all visitors of The Somerville Gates:
There are no official opening events. There are no invitations. There are no tickets. This work of art is FREE and for all to enjoy, the same as all of our previous projects. If anyone tries to sell you a ticket, do not buy it. This would be an act of fraud because no tickets are needed. Posted by Hello

Rural Games

Taken from the Chicago Tribune online...

An Indian man hammers on the chest of villager Subash Chandra Sharma
at the Kila Raipur rural games, near Ludhiana in India's northern
state of Punjab on Feb. 18. Kilar Raipur rural sports, popular as the
"Rural Olympics", started in 1933 among farmers from adjoining areas
to test their corporal endurance. Posted by Hello

Comment from Lakeview local:
Yea, it basically was right outside my building. I could see the cabbie in the street from Pam's bedroom window. The revving of the cab engie woke me up and the lady who tried to help the cab driver was also screaming. By the time I got to the window, the cab was gone and they were trying to help the cab driver. I watched them load him in to the ambulance, tape off the area, and speak to the lady, but them went back to bed since there wasn't anything I could do. It's kind of weird to think something like that could happen right outside your own residence.
