Early Voting

I Barack-ed the Vote tonight!
Waited for over an hour!
Worth every minute.
Although I wish I brought my laptop so I can work on my Concept Analysis Paper on Social Support...
And I had some chedder/caramel popcorn from Chicago's Popcorn Works!

As I told my voting friend and my friend in Austin, TX...that is the PERFECT place to look for a date if you need a Green Card. ALL American Citizens.

Go Green! Go Banana!

Orbitz Go Go Green 5K Run/Walk

We ran it this morning.  The misting and overcast sky didn't help that it was so cold outside!  We some how found our way to the front of the running pack.  You know someone is hard core when they've got light running shoes, wearing shorts, and ran home after the race.  We got our 9yr light bulb, a banana, and SPLIT!

In the spirit of Ralphy Wiggum:  GO BANANA!

Concept Analysis Paper

I'm working on this damn thing. So far, I've written an introduction, Palin-style. Makes no fucking sense.

Sexist

I know that $150,000 in clothes and make-up is ridiculous and excessive. But it's Neimans and Saks. What the hell was Palin supposed to do? Wear her suit from Kohl's? She has to step it up for the election. And as a woman, you get judged more based on looks.

I think they're picking on her b/c she's a woman. I can't stand Palin or what she represents for women. She embarrasses me as a woman. She's anti-woman's rights and she's really really stupid. She's McCain's shiny object that is being used to distract people from what is really important. Obama and McCain can spend $1500 on a suit. That's a lot of money. But they have the benefit of being able to wear the same suits over and over and no one can really tell. Also, do you really think she has time to go to the store and pick this shit out? No, it's the McCain-Palin campaign people.

As for the free trips for her kids, that's bad. You're not supposed to do that. Alaska's "First Dude" and the governor's salary should cover that. It's different when you're sharing the hotel room with Mom b/c that doesn't really cost anymore. But when you put your kids in a separate room and charge it on the tax-payers tab, that's stealing.

I can't wait for Election Day. For soooooo many reasons.

Rachel Maddow

Way to go MSNBC. I'm hooked on Rachel Maddow.
I even Wikipediaed her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Maddow

HMMM...

I wonder if McCain and Obama realize that Palin's kid has Down's/Trisomy 21 and not Autism.

Runner

Look at this...

It's AL. We trained in the same group in 2006 and 2007.
I randomly saw him at Broadway and Diversey. I was expressing my excitement for him running the marathon. He responded with, "eh, whatever."

2008 Chicago Marathon

http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2008/10/runners-gather-for-marathon.html

I loved being a spectator at the Chicago Marathon this morning. I didn't feel the urge to go out there and reprise my role in 2009.
The weather was great. And it looks like you guys had lots of water support from the marathon org itself and the spectators.

Go NADS!
Go HOT MEN!
If you had any signs of being from Texas such as Texas Flag running shorts, Longhorn emblems, burnt orange, Austin Marathon shirt, I was the one who yelled:

TEXAS!!!
TEXAS!!!

Sweet Mandy B's

After dinner with my favorite Irish family last night, we got treats at Sweet Mandy B's on Webster.
The must sense the "corner piece" people.
Here's my peanut butter - chocolate chip brownie...CORNER piece!

And please also don’t tell me she is an “energy expert.” She is an energy expert exactly the same way the king of Saudi Arabia is an energy expert — by accident of residence. Palin happens to be governor of the Saudi Arabia of America — Alaska — and the only energy expertise she has is the same as the king of Saudi Arabia’s. It’s about how the windfall profits from the oil in their respective kingdoms should be divided between the oil companies and the people.

Numa Numa

Freakin losers!
Although, I did laugh and watch the whole thing.

New TI

Love the TI song with Rihanna....Live Your Life

WOOLLOOMOOLOO

Harry's Cafe de Wheels has been serving up meat and chicken pies, pasties and hot dogs from a van at Cowper Wharf in Woolloomooloo -- a Sydney inner-city suburb -- for 70 years. Tourists are drawn here by word of mouth and travel guide blurbs, while Sydney businesspeople, taxi drivers and average Joes have long appreciated the waterfront icon for a good feed.

debates

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-081002-vice-president-debate,0,3771524.story

I would love to partake in a drinking game tonight during the debate.  Unfortunately, I will be working a B shift tonight.  B!!!  That's 7-7.  AM TO PM.  Frack.

Study Music

What do I listen to if I'm trying study.  Some songs/artists/albums distract me.  The Killers KILL me.  Right now I'm at a local Argo Tea, listening to My Morning Jacket.
