THE TERRI SCHIAVO CASE IN TEXAS

Apparently, Tom DeLay can pull the plug...

"In 1988, DeLay quietly joined the sad family consensus to let his father die.

"There was no point to even really talking about it," Maxine DeLay, 81, the congressman's mother, recalled in an interview last week. "There was no way he [Charles] wanted to live like that. Tom knew, we all knew, his father wouldn't have wanted to live that way."

Anderson Cooper's Mom is Gloria Vanderbilt

CNN news guy Anderson Cooper is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt, whose memoir last year recounted her affairs with Howard Hughes, Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando, Gene Kelly, etc. etc.

Now, in Details magazine, poor Andy writes that "I used to think there was nothing worse than imagining your own parents having sex. I was wrong. You know what's worse? Learning your parents' sex life is more interesting than your own."

Are you a hick?

Ahoy!

Planned Parenthood Visibility Event - March 22 - 11:30AM

So for part of my Spring Break, I decided to join Planned Parenthood's "visibility Event" aka peaceful protest in front of Osco Drug on State and Adams. Apparently, a pharmacist refused to fill a prescription for the morning after pill.

Here is the skinny: A pharmacist has the right to refuse filling a prescription. We have the right to file a complaint with the city, I believe. However, Osco or the pharmacy has to have a pharmacist on hand that is willing to fill the prescription OR give the customer info on WHERE to get the prescription filled.

11:30AM - We met at 18 S Michigan with the organizers

11:35AM - Walked over to Adams and State

11:35AM - 12:05PM - Lined up by the store with signs, chanted, and handed out fliers. Media came out took pictures and interviewed participants and Planned Parenthood Action Committee peeps.

Check out the pictures below...

There were photographers and news cameras capturing the chanting, posters, and crowd. Posted by Hello

We got honks from cars and buses in support or...not in support...of the protest. Posted by Hello

Planned Parenthood

Another pharmacist has refused to fill a prescription for emergency contraception - this time in downtown Chicago.

It's time to educate the consumers of Illinois on this issue. In order to do that, we need to get some attention from the media. To spark their interest, we're staging a large visibility event right in front of the pharmacy where this is occurring.

Join Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area and other groups and individuals as we demonstrate support for access to birth control and emergency contraception (EC).

What: A rally to highlight the importance of access to birth control and emergency contraception
When: Tuesday, March 22 - 11:30 a.m.
Where: Planned Parenthood Administrative Office, 18 S. Michigan Ave., 6th Floor (exact pharmacy location information coming soon)

ANYONE UP FOR THIS???

Holy Land Lamp

This simple lantern is a precise reproduction of the lanterns carried in Jesus' day. Imagine the flickering light of these lanterns reflecting the faces of Jesus' followers as He taught them of the hope that could be found in accepting His Gospel. This precious treasure is filled with fragrance of frankincense, is hand crafted in Jerusalem and is accompanied by a scroll with a special message from Pastor Benny.! Posted by Hello

Newsworthy

Really though, who gives a shit about the:
  • King of Pop's predilection for little boys?
  • Scott Peterson's and his fuck up?
  • Camp Cupcake's newest graduate, Martha Stewart
TV is uninteresting enough. Bring back Alf.
