scratch

A $50 scratch-off lottery ticket?  Wow...I'm too cheap for that.  When I buy a lottery ticket, I do it for instant gratification...and it's been years since I bought one.  You pay little for a chance to win big.  With $50 you're just taking to big of a hit in the wallet.  I won $200 once from $2 "Break the Bank".  That's a good return

Cozumel

My sister and I went down to Cozumel, Mexico earlier this month.  Everything cool is underwater.  I overcame new found fear of being in deep water I realized in Sydney while snorkeling at Chankanaab.  For about 20 minutes we were rockstarts zooming around on a moped with a non-functioning spedometer.  For fear of losing my ability to run and for fear of losing my silver Havainas, I advocated to return the moped and get something with doors.  We spent the rest of the day in a Jeep with the roof off.  The group of lawyers and legal/tax people we travelled with were thebomb.com/kickass.  I hope to be the official trip nurse next year...to treat the scrapes & hydration issues.

The hotel room - See the cabinets around the TV? It's filled with alcohol for you to drink as much as your liver can tolerate.

Oh yeah, it's Chankanaab...not Chankanabra (home of the Chupacabra??) It's a fresh water lagoon with a coral reef. And some gross looking creatures...the IGUANAS. I heard they taste like chicken. They just hang out there. Sometimes when you throw a few Lucky Charms on the ground, they congregate.

She don't eat meat

Yesterday, I ate a steak.  Fillet Mignon.  One that was grilled.  And it wasn't at a restaurant.  It was on a home grill.  A grill at someones home in Chicago.  Believe it or not, it reached 48F yesterday.  For that weather anomaly, I participated in a diet anomaly.  And it was damn good.
